International Health Certificates

Traveling internationally with pets often requires an International Health Certificate. Determine the requirements for your specific travel destination well in advance to be best prepared.

Obtaining health certificates is a complex process and different for each country. Once you have reviewed the USDA APHIS website (United States Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service - whew!) for the specific requirements for your destination, contact us to discuss the documentation needed for your pet.

Depending on the country you're traveling to, we need a minimum of one to four month’s notice before your flight to ensure our ability to properly comply with the requirements for your certificate.

Factors to consider as you prepare to travel internationally include meeting time frames for obtaining a health certificate, updating vaccinations, diagnostic testing, and administration of medications or treatments.

If at any time you have questions, please call us at 734-436-0455 to speak to one of our health certificate team members.
