Dr. Forbes embraces Fear Free methods as well as AAHA-accreditation to ensure a positive experience for her patients so she and her team can provide the highest quality medical care. She strives to make a positive impact on her patients, their humans, the CCAH team, and the veterinary profession. She is passionate about being the owner of an independent veterinary hospital and creating a positive culture where her team can thrive. She embraces a growth mindset and enjoys learning new skills (even after 18 years of practice!) professionally and personally.

Outside of veterinary medicine, she shares her life with her husband, three human kids, a double-Merle Australian Shepherd rescue, a Jack Russell/Chihuahua rescue (who runs the show), two cats, and a variety of wildlife who mostly stay out of the garage. Dr. Forbes has been a resident of Ann Arbor since 2005 and still maintains property there. She and her family currently reside in the quaint town of Chelsea, just a short drive from Ann Arbor. If she takes time away from veterinary medicine, she enjoys road trips, running, biking, Lego building (it’s not just for the kids), reading, learning to like yoga, organizing (including label making), and secretly watching TikTok (about veterinary medicine, of course).

Dr. Kent Morton with CCAH since 2026

  • Ross University, DMV
  • General, surgical, and emergency medical experience
  • Fear Free Certified

Dr. Kent Morton’s career in veterinary medicine was far from direct. In 2004, he graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in broadcast and cinematic arts. After a brief career in advertising, he left his job to travel abroad. His interest in animal medicine was piqued after spending a year in Australia. Upon returning to the United States, he began working in veterinary medicine and started his undergraduate studies with the intention of becoming a veterinarian. His education took him to Ross University and Purdue University, where he graduated in 2015.

Dr. Morton began his career in emergency medicine before transitioning to general practice and wellness care. He enjoys dentistry, feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) treatment, and working with brachycephalic dogs. Dr. Morton currently has two pets: a Goldendoodle named Doodicus Maximus and a French Bulldog named Super Mutant Alien Baby. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, hiking, gaming, reading, and watching horror movies. He is also the co-host of Iceland’s most popular veterinary podcast, Vet Med for Idiots by Idiots.
