Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese form of medicine, based on the premise that sickness in the body can be caused by an imbalance in the vital energies of the body. Acupuncture restores energy balance and therefore can help assist with healing.

Acupuncture entails the insertion of tiny needles into your pet's body at specified points called acupuncture points. Acupuncture improves blood flow, relaxes muscles, and increases oxygen in tissues.

Acupuncture can help with:

  • arthritis
  • orthopedic conditions
  • hip dysplasia
  • degenerative joint disease
  • chronic back pain
  • spinal cord injuries
  • increase in appetite
  • decrease in nausea
  • endocrine disorders
  • pain management
  • neurologic conditions

If you're curious about whether your pet is a good candidate for acupuncture, please contact our office and we'll be happy to discuss further.
